RZ, David Cameron launched his bonkers "happiness index" yesterday as he announced that the Government would measure people's quality of life as well as economic growth. From April, the Office for National Statistics will seek to establish the key areas that matter most to people's wellbeing – such as health, levels of education, inequalities in income and the environment. He is a PR man by profession and you can really tell from this one, can't you.
Followed the sky link, which is an unfamiliar route for me to follow, but you are right. Their coverage is quite effective. The Met are flexing their muscles as an exercise in self preservation against the cuts. You know, 'you really need us, Dave, to protect society against all these students and schoolkids.'
I saw somewhere that the U.K. will be starting a "Happiness index"
