As we have said in previous posts, the US hegemony in the Middle East and the world is crumbling by the week. Robert Dreyfuss is correct in this excellent article about the Cairo Revolt. The puny failure of the US is not just down to ineptitude by Obama and Shillary (not to mention their ridiculous envoy Wisner). It is part of a wider and older process of degeneration in American politics and foreign policy. False wars incompetently executed are only a part of it. It infects internal US politics too as recently manifested in the hatred and lies which followed the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Giffords. History has overtaken the US as a nation just as evolution overtakes the less adaptable and resourceful species.
In both scenarios there is no way back.
