  1. The perfect post on Orwell's birthday. Sadly hilarious. And I wouldn't be surprised if the not-all-that-distant future doesn't include such a scenario. For me, one of the most chilling moments in a movie was in "Sphere" when Dustin Hoffman says, "His name is Jerry."

  2. Thanks for heads-up on Orwell, T. Happy Birthday, George. The bank story is rooted in a real computer meltdown in major UK banks at the weekend, bizarrely. Big news over here. I hope the second part of the satire comes true. Wouldn't that be something.
