Iraq: 'Five killed as gunmen down military helicopter' - Adnkronos Politics: "Baghdad, 2 Oct. (AKI) - Gunmen on Wednesday shot down a military helicopter north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, killing all five of its crew members, according to unnamed national security sources.
The chopper was downed as it was lending support to Iraqi troops engagned in a battle with militants on the ground near Tikrit - near the birthplace of Iraq's late strongman Saddam Hussein.
Tikrit lies some 130 kilometres north of Baghdad."
