Dean Carl Evans, a 23-year-old from Reading, was killed on July 21 during an offensive by anti-Isil forces to take back the city of Manbij, according to Kurdish forces. His death was confirmed by his father John Evans, who said “he was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends”.
