I am not too comfortable about this book. The White House likes it [it makes the President look good]. I had bought both of Woodwards books about W. The first one also made W look good. When Woodward came back to write the second one. Of course he had free access to all. It was not too kind to W. For this reason I think this book might just be preparation for the sequel.
Woodward sold his soul to the establishment for sure. He is only interested in an angle and a profile on the talking head circuit. But at least he gets an inside angle for his sycophancy and we get the odd snippet as a result.
