Syria - Some Thoughts

The Syrian chaos is a proxy war. The aim of the US/NATO yet again is ”regime change”, It's not not because the Assad’s are worse than other M/E dictators - its because in the neo-con mentality, the rulers of Iran are dangerous and evil. The real purpose of the US-Saudi sponsored civil war is to eliminate the Syrian link in Iran’s alleged arc of influence through the Levant via Hezbollah.
If Washington had a clearer view of the Iranian regime none of the paranoia which has gone into destroying Syria, a beautiful, prosperous country as was. The Syrian carnage could stop any time Obama, the drone-firing Peace Laureate, decides to stand up to the warmongers and chickenhawks in his own country. Don't hold your breath.
