New Labour Corpse Keeps Twitching

It defeats me how anyone could vote for NewLieBore but they seem to have a chance of cobbling up an alliance with the Lib Dems giving Brown a desperate fingernail grip on continued power. Only consolation is the Tories wouldn’t get in and electoral reform may result. It is a national disgrace that the Lib Dems got the same share of the UK vote as Labour but a quarter of the seats and MP’s. The Libs have disappointed in their performance although I am glad to say they won where I live. There will now follow a week or so of chaos and media frenzy with Brown squatting in 10 Downing St. and the Tory media foaming at the mouth.

Clegg is selling out, selling his soul to Cameron even as I am typing this.

  2. @Bartie. Clegg will never sign up with the Tories. Hes not a fool and the Liberal constitution requires the consent of all the MP's which he would never get even he wanted to support Cameron. A broad left coalition will emerge but not for a week yet, I think.

  3. Guys, this is worth Clegg taking some time over. I don't believe he will sell out to either of the Tory front-men - Brown or Cameron. If he can get a referendum on proportional representation from either of them in the next year then he might as well sign up next week. What's the difference between the others that it would matter which?

Time to recant on your premature death of NL prediction, dont you think?

  5. So they're hanging by their fingernails. Great result, eh? A twitching corpse and shell of what Labour used to be. To judge by your site you're still a Labour supporter. Character flaw right there. Good Riddance to Brown. They say a dead fish rots from the head down.
